Daniel Lempe

Dan is responsible for the overall management and day-to -day investment activities of Presidential Brokerage. He founded Presidential over 19 years ago, and has been in the financial services business evaluating, analyzing, and managing investments, in various sectors for over 25 years. Prior to founding Presidential in 1991, Dan studied business at the University of Minnesota Duluth where he had received a hockey scholarship. Later, he played professional hockey in the U.S. and Europe, and traveled the world with Team USA. He loves the team concept and working in a team environment with healthy competition. Dan is passionate about helping clients reach their financial goals, and also about helping his employees and team members achieve the same.
Dan has spent considerable time over the  past five years in training and learning about the complex federal tax rules governing retirement accounts, taxation, and key planning techniques for what he terms "the second half of the ball game" – when people should be enjoying their money and not worrying about it. Much of the in-depth training he has participated in is via Ed Slott, who is recognized as America's IRA Expert and host of public television's Stay Rich for Ever and Ever. Dan is a member of Ed Slott’s Elite Advisor Group.
Clients and main street in general are very concerned about how the impact of a higher tax climate will affect their Social Security, investments, and basic retirement. Clients need a transition into retirement that allows them to protect and grow what they have accumulated, that they avoid heavy, immediate, and unnecessary taxation of their retirement funds, and that when they are finished using those funds  their legacy is handed intact to their beneficiaries as they intended. With Baby Boomers heading into retirement all at once, and 80% of them without a plan, Dan believes there is a huge need for advisors trained in these disciplines.
Dan and Sherri, his wife of more than twenty eight years, have two children, Matthew and Natasha, who are both currently enrolled in college and pursing their educations. Dan loves Colorado, but enjoys the tropical warmth of Costa Rica when he has a chance.  He loves surfing, snowboarding, playing golf and hitting the open road in his motor coach along with Sherri and their two enthusiastic dogs.
